The Economy as the Driving Force of Social Change
myAbility is a social enterprise dedicated to fostering a fair and barrier-free society.
The journey began in 2009 when Gregor Demblin and Wolfgang Kowatsch launched the first job search website, myAbility.jobs, for people with disabilities in German-speaking countries. Gregor, motivated by his personal experiences with prejudices and barriers as a person with a mobility impairment, teamed up with Wolfgang Kowatsch, who was then the managing director of a large online job board. Together, they aimed to help companies recognize the potential of people with disabilities and the economic advantages of inclusion.
In 2014, Gregor and Wolfgang, along with Sandra Edelmann and Michael Aumann, founded myAbility as a social management consulting enterprise. myAbility assists companies in cultivating an inclusive corporate culture, operates Europe’s largest German-speaking corporate network on inclusion—the myAbility Economic Forum—and supports students and graduates through the myAbility Talent® Program.
myAbility emphasizes the importance of measurable social impact, striving to provide tangible, impactful results in their mission to drive economic and social change.
